What a Winter!
Dear Province:
I thought when I moved south, I would avoid the snow and sleet - but this past February we needed assistance maneuvering a car trailer over the snow banks and into the garage for fear of sliding right into the marina. Thank goodness for helpful neighbors. Now I look across that neighbor's yard and see welcome shades of green - I'm so ready for Spring, and the garden, and the soft breezes over the river and a renewed sense of balance.
Hopefully, you're coming out of winter with an eagerness of your own and things to look forward to in March. If you don't have anything fun on your calendar yet - keep reading because we have bingo, and theater, and our first women's event coming up for you to attend and enjoy ... and a few other March dates listed for you to remember.

Heritage Christian Academy
Folkstone Original Freewill Baptist Church is preparing to open a private school specifically for grades K-8 this fall. And if there is enough interest / enrollment they will add classes for high school students as well. For more information visit:

Senior Center Bible Study

Snead's Ferry Military Training Notification
To whom it may concern:
I am writing to inform you that MARSOC will be conducting training in Snead's Ferry from 13 April to 24 July 2026 in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding for training.
