Hello OSF Members,
This month it's Summer in Sneads Ferry!
SUMMER. It means different things to each of us. Some of us dread the crowds, the traffic, the lack of ease we are accustom to. Others anticipate the crowds who bring traffic to businesses and a bustle of activity that has been longed for - for months. Oh, the dichotomy of living in the quaint and the contemporary of Sneads Ferry!
SUMMER. It hits us all in different ways. Some of us change our schedules, consolidate our errands, and hunker down in our houses, gardens, and neighborhoods to avoid the hub-bub. Others of us swing onto the fast track to make the best of the seasonal summer opportunity, income, and sales. Some of us leave town for cooler climates and quieter environments. Others of us host out of town family and friends showing and sharing everything Sneads Ferry has to offer.
SUMMER. Whether we dread or anticipate it let us all remember the "Golden Way". Let us adapt and find a way to be friends with our little piece of the world. Let us regard the whole human family, our locals and our visitors, as one. Let us create ease and space for ourselves and treat others with dignity and grace as we discover, celebrate and honor all that summer has to offer here.
May we all pause moment to welcome summer in Sneads Ferry.

JUNE EVENTS
High School Class of 2026 Baccalaureate - Sunday, 6/7/26 - 3PM
The Sneads Ferry Pastors are working together to hold a special Baccalaureate service for all seniors graduating from public, private and homeschools at Dixon High School auditorium on Sunday June 7 at 3pm. Graduates will wear their caps and gowns and process in. The ceremony will include a speaker, special music, and reading of the scripture. The Gideons will present graduates with a copy of the Scriptures. A reception will follow. Please announce to your graduates and save the date for this Christian opportunity for our young people. Bingo - Friday, 6/12/26 - 6PM
Our BINGO Crew's got Game in the Community Center! Come join us for Family Fun Night BINGO at 126 Park Lane. Able Buddies is "Fundraising in the Kitchen" serving Elevated Hot Dogs. The Sneads Ferry Community Council is sponsoring the Game Bags with fun Gifts for all.

SFCC General Meeting - 6/3/25 - 7PM
OSF Supports SFCC!
Those of you who want to know more about the Community Council and the programs they offer in Sneads Ferry, are welcome to attend this fast-paced meeting at the SF Community Center, 126 Park Lane, SF. Come get to know what each SFCC standing committee and organization is up to, and how you can participate. This is the way to create new programs within the community.

Shrimp Festival Parade - Heads Up:)
I'm (Dottie is) organizing the Shrimp Festival Parade (Saturday, September 26) again this year. In June I'll be posting the application on the SFCC website, publishing an ad on Facebook and reaching out to all past parade participants with an invitation to come play in the 2026 parade.
